Aaron Thomas

    I had the opportunity to join SCAD Animation Studios to create this award winning 2D and 3D animation hybrid film. I collaborated with a wide variety of artists from different departments such as background painters, texture artist, compositors, and effects animators. When lighting the characters and environments in Maya, it required attention to detail and constant communication to ensure all these separated elements could be composited together to execute this unique style. It’s worth noting the film was in  during the height of the COVID 19 pandemic so it was created predominantly online.  I appreciate the challenge as both an artist and team member and contribute much of my growth as a lighter to this film.
