The Attic

demo.jpg

This project was one of the Academy of Animated Arts monthly community lighting challenges. This one really leans into my personal style of animation with the lighting being inspired by Sony Animation films. The composition of the camera angle and layout of the objects presented a great opportunity to educated myself on the principles of midground, foreground, and background lighting by making sure every element of the scene was given emphasis while visually making sense given the singular light source. Special thanks to Michael Tanzillo for his guidance throughout with his excellent community critiques.
