Real Time Sunset

The goal of this project was to recreate “golden hour” lighting using a combination of reference and personal stylization roughly within 2 weeks. I utilized Unreal’s cloud atmosphere and it’s volumetric settings to create dynamic sun rays and a sense of scale/distance through atmospheric perspective. Employing highly detailed marketplace assets along with a Quixel Meta Human, I became familiar with how Unreal Engine’s lighting interacted with a variety of textures. Camera movement and layout were largely inspired by car commercials and real-world photography.
